"Bud", from Honeyblood

Stina Tweeddale (guitar/vocals) and Shona McViccar (drums) of Honeyblood may reside in Glasgow, but their bittersweet guitar pop seems more of the western United States than central Scotland.  There is the sweet pop of Best Coast and Haim, and, at times, the darker tones of The Breeders or Throwing Muses.  And I must say there are some shaggy garage band edges, which are charming.  They have been signed to FatCat Records, which will be releasing their two track single on November 7.  Reportedly, an LP is in the works as well.

The single consists of "Bud" and "Kissing On You".  I haven't hear the later, but the former is the kind of track which makes a music writer sit up and take notice.  I think we will hear good things from Honeyblood.  You can stream it and/or watch the video below.
