Introducing: A Fine Day For Sailing

It seems to me that some of the best jangly guitar pop evokes sunny days with refreshing breezes.  And days like that also are perfect for sailing.  So it seems appropriate that the jangle pop band to which we introduce you here bears the wonderful name A Fine Day For Sailing.

The London-based band was founded by Matt and Jen a few years ago, and now consists of  Matt, Jen, Thom, Sharon, Caroline, and Dan.

The band's new single, "Little Places", will be released at the end of this month on Berlin's Vollvert Records.  The B-side is a redone version of one of their songs from a few years ago, "Me and the Girl".  You can listen to the title track here:

"Ballad of the Bedsit" headed their 2011 single --

"Summer Blonde" was the title track for a two song single in 2010 --
