Cats of Transnistria are Tuomas Alatalo and Henna Emilia Hietamaki. The Helsinki, Finland duo makes dark and dreamy atmospheric pop. Their debut record, an EP titled Away for Helsinki label Soliti Music, was released in January. The band's multi-faceted compositions balance experimental and gentle elements that easily hold the listener's interest.
