LA-based label Stones Throw keeps mixing it up - long known for their hip-hop (Peanut Butter Wolf, Madlib), soul (Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne and the recently-covered Myron & E) and other assorted mixmaster stuff (James Pants, Vex Ruffin), they've been supplying some pretty sweet sounds lately. In addition to the wonderful reggae and dub items we've heard from them recently (The Lions, Dub Club), they have recently signed an LA-based guitar dream pop duo called
Broadway. There's only one song to listen to, but it sure is a good one - sweet as can be, languid and easygoing, with a meandering guitar line. Check it out, and then, like us, stay tuned for more:
